Simply put, a share is a whole, half, or quarter of an animal—bought directly from us. Since we're committed to using practices that care for animals and the planet, shares are one of the best ways to purchase meat in a sustainable, ethical way.

Dexter cattle are smaller than many beef varieties. If you're new to buying beef in bulk, these smaller share sizes can help you get started and learn how the process works. Whole shares come in at approximately 270 lbs, half shares at around 135 lbs, and quarter shares at around 68 lbs. Weights differ from animal to animal, so all prices listed below are for deposits only. Final price is provided after the animal is harvested and processed by the butcher.

Buying meat in bulk as a share is the most economical way to source the highest quality meat, raised regeneratively, and in direct support of your land stewards. Requiring a deposit will allow us to sustainably plan the herd, ensuring we will have the correct amount of animals at the time of harvest.
